The deposit must be sent via Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposit or Original Credit Transaction (OCT) and must come from the following:
- Employer or payroll provider
- Gig economy payer, or
- Government benefits (like Social Security)
The following transactions are NOT considered as Qualifying Direct Deposits:
- ACH transfers from other accounts
- Transfers using Pay Anyone
- Verification or trial deposits from banks
- Transfers from third-party apps, e.g., PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo
- Mobile check deposits
- Cash deposits
- One-time deposits, like tax refunds
