Troubleshoot virtual card access errors

Why your card details may be unavailable

When you log in to the Chime app from a new or unrecognized device, Chime temporarily restricts access to your card details, including your card number and CVV. This is a precaution to protect your account.


Fix a blurred card or "Temporarily Unavailable" error

  1. Log out of the Chime app and log back in.

  2. Tap Profile > Cards and try viewing your card details again.


If the issue continues:

  • Try accessing your account from another device, such as a tablet.

  • If you have your physical card, you can continue using it while access is being restored.

  • If you do not have a physical card, you can request one. See Replace your Chime card.
