Chime Plus benefits typically activate within 24 hours after you meet the eligibility requirements. You’ll qualify once, within the last 34 days, you receive either:
- One qualifying direct deposit (QDD) of $200 or more, or
- $400 or more total from QDDs.
What if Chime Plus doesn’t activate?
If 24 hours have passed and you still don’t see Chime Plus badge:
- Check your direct deposit amount
- Confirm that, within the last 34 days, you received either one $200 or more qualifying direct deposit or $400 or more total.
- Confirm the qualifying source:
- Payroll deposits from an employer
- Government benefits (e.g., Social Security, VA benefits)
- Gig economy payments (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash)
- Restart your app – Close and reopen the Chime app.
