You can change your password in the Chime app if you're already logged in. To update your password:
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Personal info.
- Tap Update Password.
- Enter your current password and tap Next.
- Enter your new password and tap Next.
After updating your password, you’ll receive a confirmation email and text message from Chime.
The next time you sign in to the Chime app, you'll be prompted to create a new four-digit mobile unlock passcode.
Password requirements
To help protect your account, your new password must:
Be at least 12 characters
Include a mix of letters, numbers, and at least one special character
Exclude personal information (like your name, birthdate, or email)
Be different from your current password
If you've changed your phone number
During the password reset process, tap or click Update number, then follow the instructions to verify your identity with a valid ID and update your phone number.
If you don’t have access to your email
You’ll need to update your email before continuing. Visit How do I update my email address? for steps.
