Your SpotMe limit may have decreased due to a change in your account or direct deposit activity, or the expiration of boosts or bonuses.
- You stopped receiving Qualifying Direct Deposits (loss of eligibility): If you haven't received a Qualifying Direct Deposit of $200 or more in the past 34 days, your SpotMe limit might be reduced to $0. Once a new Qualifying Direct Deposit is posted to your account, your SpotMe eligibility and base limit can be restored. To learn more, visit What counts as Qualifying Direct Deposits? and Am I eligible for SpotMe®?
Note: If you lose SpotMe eligibility, any active bonuses will pause and you’ll be limited to one active Boost ($5), even if you previously had more. - Your boosts expired: SpotMe Boosts* are temporary – they expire at 11:59 PM on the last day of the month in which they’re received. They increase your limit for the month they are received.
Example: If you receive a Boost on March 30, it will expire at 11:59 PM on March 31.
To get the most out of Boosts: (1) Try to send and receive them early in the month or (2) You can exchange Boosts with other Chime members each month to keep your coverage going. To learn more, visit What are SpotMe® Boosts? - Your bonus expired: Bonuses are tied to specific Chime promotions and have expiration dates. Once a bonus expires, you need to qualify for a new Chime promotion to get another bonus. If you lose your bonus (for example, the promotion ended), you’ll need to qualify again to earn a new one.
