A virtual card is a digital version of your physical Chime card. It has its own unique number and works similarly for purchases, but you don’t need to carry a physical card to use it.
Both your physical and virtual cards are linked to the same Chime Checking Account. The virtual card lets you shop securely online, set up subscriptions, and pay in stores by adding it to your mobile wallet.

What it can’t do
You can’t deposit cash directly with your virtual card. To deposit cash, use your Chime Visa® Debit Card at a retail location or generate a barcode in the Chime app. Learn more in How do I deposit cash into my Chime Account?
