Chime sets transfer limits to help protect your account and meet regulatory requirements. Your specific limits are based on account history and other risk factors. There is no manual way to request a limit increase. Adding direct deposit to your Chime Checking Account may help increase your limits over time.
Check your limits
You can view your personalized transfer limits at any time: Tap Profile > Account details > View limits.
Instant transfers and Pay Anyone — combined limit
Transfers with an external debit card, includes inbound instant transfers and sending Pay Anyone payments. You can use your full available limit across both transfer types. The in-app label for this combined limit is Transfers with your external debit cards in the View limits section.
Options when you reach a limit
ACH transfer: Move larger amounts between your Chime Checking Account and a linked external bank account. ACH transfers are not subject to the same daily limits as instant transfers.
Mail a check: Use Chime Checkbook to send a payment. See Send, track, and cancel a check with Chime.
Transfer from your external bank: Log in to your external bank and send money to your Chime account using your Chime routing and account numbers. Chime does not limit transfers started from another bank's platform.
Combine methods: Use a combination of ACH and mail-a-check to move a larger total amount in one cycle.
Outbound transfers to external banks
Chime does not limit the number of outgoing ACH transfers from your Chime Checking Account to an external bank. However, your external bank may have its own transfer limits — check with them for details.
