How digital wallets work with your Chime card
Your card must be active to complete transactions through a digital wallet.
Chime does not charge fees for using your card with any digital wallet.
The same card can be linked to multiple digital wallets at the same time.
If you receive a replacement card, add it to your digital wallet. Your old card number will no longer work.
You need an active data plan or Wi-Fi to make payments using a digital wallet.
You can remove your Chime card from a digital wallet through the wallet app itself.

If you have trouble adding your card:
Check that you entered the correct card number, CVV, and expiration date.
Make sure your card is active and transactions are enabled.
Confirm your address and contact information match between your Chime account and your wallet app.
Sign out of the wallet app and back in, then try again.
If the issue continues, contact your phone manufacturer for further help.
Make tap-to-pay payments
Your Chime cards have a built-in contactless chip. At checkout, hold your card near a contactless reader — look for the Wi-Fi symbol facing sideways on the reader. If the reader does not support contactless payments, you can still swipe or insert your card.
Add money to Chime using Apple Pay
You can add money to your Chime account using Apple Pay:
Tap Move > Transfer money.
Choose Apple Pay as the payment source and follow the prompts.
Note: Standard transfer limits apply. You need Chime app version 5.249.1 or later and a non-Chime debit card added to your Apple Wallet.
Use your card internationally with a digital wallet
You can use your Chime card through your digital wallet while traveling abroad. You may need to change your device's region settings for it to recognize card readers outside the United States.
