Stop payments apply to the following transaction types on your Chime Visa® Debit Card, secured Chime Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card, or secured Chime Visa® Credit Card:
Recurring transactions: ongoing charges without an agreed-upon end date.
Installment transactions: continuous payments set for a specific time period.
Other card-on-file transactions: payments you authorized a merchant to charge.
A stop payment stays in place until your chosen end date or until you ask Chime to remove it.
Important: Freezing your card does not stop recurring payments. Recurring charges can still go through even when your card is frozen.
Request a stop payment
Contact Chime at least three business days before your next scheduled payment:
Go to Profile > Help Center > Chat.

Note: To fully cancel a merchant's authorization, contact the merchant directly and ask them to remove your payment details. A stop payment through Chime r does not guarantee that all future recurring transactions will stop. Factors such as transaction type, timing, and the merchant's processing network can affect the outcome.
