What is the current APY for the Chime Savings Account?
We offer an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 2.00% to help your savings grow faster than many traditional savings accounts.
For example, if you keep $1,000 in your Chime Savings Account for a year, you’ll earn approximately $20 in interest before taxes.
Interest is calculated daily on your account balance, so you can earn interest on every dollar, every day.
I closed my Chime Savings Account. Can I reopen it?
Yes. You must wait at least 90 days before reopening the account. This way, you can start saving again without going through a new account setup process.
How can I access money in my Chime Savings Account?
Your Chime Savings Account is a great place to grow your money, but it doesn’t support direct payments or purchases. To use your savings, simply transfer the money to your Chime Checking Account or your Credit Builder Card. This keeps your savings separate from everyday spending, but still allows instant access to your funds.
