Why do I need a verification code?
We may ask for a verification code as an added layer of security. This helps confirm it’s really you making the transfer and protects your account from unauthorized activity.

What should I do if I don’t receive the code?
If you’re having trouble receiving your verification code, try the following:
  1. Tap Get new code to request another six-digit code.
  2. Tap Update phone number under Need help? if you don’t have access to the phone number associated with your Chime account.
  3. Check your phone settings to make sure Chime is allowed to send you text notifications.
  4. If you haven’t opted in to SMS messages from Chime, text START to 24463. Make sure 24463 isn’t blocked on your device.
  5. Contact your mobile carrier to ensure your plan can receive Premium or short-code messaging, or receive texts from other six-digit numbers from other institutions.
