Why do I need a verification code?
We may ask for a verification code as an added layer of security. This helps confirm it’s really you making the transfer and protects your account from unauthorized activity.
What should I do if I don’t receive the code?
If you’re having trouble receiving your verification code, try the following:
- Tap Get new code to request another six-digit code.
- Tap Update phone number under Need help? if you don’t have access to the phone number associated with your Chime account.
- Check your phone settings to make sure Chime is allowed to send you text notifications.
- If you haven’t opted in to SMS messages from Chime, text START to 24463. Make sure 24463 isn’t blocked on your device.
- Contact your mobile carrier to ensure your plan can receive Premium or short-code messaging, or receive texts from other six-digit numbers from other institutions.
