Transfers between Chime accounts and external bank accounts are completed through ACH, which are processed on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays). After a transfer is initiated, it may take up to 5 business days to post. You can track the status of your transfer in the app under Checking transactions.
To transfer money to your Chime account more quickly, you can link an external debit card. The transfer process from a linked debit card typically takes a few minutes to complete. There may be times when these transfers are delayed due to network timing or other factors beyond our control. When you transfer money to your external bank account, it can take 1-3 business days for the money to appear in your external bank account, depending on your external bank’s policies.
