How do recurring transfers for Savings and Goals work?

What is a recurring transfer?

A recurring transfer is a money transfer that happens automatically on a schedule you choose (weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly). You can set them up between your Chime accounts or from an external financial institution into Chime.

Which transfers are eligible for recurring setup?

Eligible
Ineligible

You can set up recurring transfers between:

  • Chime Checking → Savings or Goal

  • Chime Card / Credit Builder → Savings or Goal

  • Savings or Goal → Chime Checking

  • Savings or Goal → Credit Builder / Chime Card

  • External bank (ACH) → Checking, Chime Card or Credit Builder (money can then be moved to Savings or Goals)

You can’t set up recurring transfers to or from:

  • External debit cards

  • Chime accounts → external bank accounts

  • Savings or Goals → external accounts (directly)

Note: If you don’t see a frequency option when setting up your transfer, it means the account combination you chose isn’t eligible for recurring transfers.
