Mobile check deposit* is available in the Chime app for eligible members. Chime will determine if you are eligible for Mobile Check Deposit* based on the history of any Chime-branded accounts you have, direct deposit history, direct deposit amounts, and other risk-based factors, such as card activation status. If you’re eligible, the Mobile Check Deposit option will appear in the Move Money section of the Chime app.
To get started, activate your Chime Visa® Debit Card. If you haven’t done this yet, see How do I activate my card? to learn how.
For treasury checks you need to receive at least one direct deposit of $1 or more since June 1, 2021, from one of the following sources:
Employer or payroll provider
Gig economy payer via automated clearing house (ACH) transfer or Original Credit Transaction (OCT)
Government benefits
Once eligible, you can take a photo of your check in the Chime app and follow the prompts to deposit it. See Am I eligible for Mobile Check Deposit, and how is eligibility determined? for more information.
