Why didn’t I get my cash back for my Chime Deal?

If you didn’t receive cash back from a Chime Deal*, it may be due to one of the following:

  • The address didn’t matchMany deals are tied to specific merchant locations. If the deal is tied to a specific location, the business address on your receipt must match the one listed in the Chime app.

  • You didn’t activate the deal firstYou must activate the deal in the Chime app before making your purchase. Only purchases made during the deal’s active time window are eligible.

  • The deal expiredEach deal has a specific time window. If your purchase was made after the deal expired, it won't qualify for cash back. You can check the timer in the app to confirm how much time you have left.

  • You used a digital walletOnly purchases made with your physical Chime card are eligible for certain deals. Transactions for deals made via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other digital wallets do not qualify. This detail will be shown on the terms and conditions for that specific deal.

  • You used the Upside appDue to our partnership with Upside, Chime Deals can only be claimed through the Chime app. If you already made a claim for the same Chime deal through the Upside app, it won’t be available in Chime.

  • You split your paymentThe full transaction must be paid using your physical Chime card. Splitting the payment with another method makes the purchase ineligible for cash back.
