How do I become eligible for cash back rewards?

You are eligible for cash back rewards¹ when you have Chime Plus or Chime Prime status² and a secured Chime Visa® Credit Card, or Chime Card.

Members with Chime Plus status are eligible for 2% in cash back rewards, while members with Chime Prime status are eligible for 5% in cash back rewards; cash back rewards apply to purchases of up to $1500 per month in a selected category. You will also be eligible for Visa Signature® benefits through your active Chime Card if you’re a Chime Prime member.

²To be eligible for Chime Prime status, receive $3,000+ in qualifying direct deposits to your Chime Checking Account in the past 34 days. To be eligible for Chime Plus status, receive either 1) a single $200+ qualifying direct deposit; or 2) $400+ in cumulative qualifying direct deposits to your Chime Checking Account in the preceding 34 days.
