How do I activate my Chime Visa® Debit Card?

Activating your Chime Visa® Debit Card unlocks the following features:

  • Sending physical checks
  • Unlimited ACH Bank Transfers in/out of Chime

When will I receive my Chime Visa® Debit Card?

When you order a Chime Visa® Debit Card via the Chime app, it will arrive in the mail within 7-10 business days (for regular shipping) or 3-5 business days (for express shipping).

When can I activate my Chime Visa® Debit Card?

You can activate your physical Chime Visa® Debit Card when it arrives in the mail. While you wait for your card to arrive, you can access your temporary digital card in your app by following these steps:

  1. Open your app
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap Debit Card
  4. Select View your card to see your temporary card number and details

Once you’ve activated your physical card, your temporary card and physical card numbers will match. When you activate your physical card, you will no longer be able to use your temporary card. 

How do I activate my Chime Visa® Debit Card?

If you are using the Chime mobile app (version 3.3 or later), you can activate your card directly through the app:

  1. Log in to your Chime app and tap the green Card Status button
  2. Tap Activate Card

If you are unable to access the Chime mobile app at this time, please contact us at 1-844-244-6363 to activate your card.
