- Go to Settings.
- Tap Personal info.
- Tap Close Account and follow the steps.

Call us at (844) 244-6363.
We’ll close your account within five business days of receiving your request. Once your account is closed, you can no longer access it. If you need tax documents or other types of statements for the account before closing it, download them in the Documents section of your app settings.

What if I have money in my account when I close it?
If you have money in your Chime account, you can transfer it to another bank account before closing your account. To learn more, read How do I transfer money from another bank to my Chime Checking Account?
If there’s still money in your account when you close it, we’ll mail you a check for the amount. You should receive it within 30 days. Just make sure your address is up to date in your app settings under Personal info so that your check goes to the right place.
What if I have a negative balance when I close it?
If you want to close an account that’s overdrawn, call us at (844) 244-6363.
How do I close a deceased member’s account?
Please call us at (844) 244-6363 for help closing an account for a deceased member.
Can I re-open my Chime account after I close it?
Call us at (844) 244-6363 if you need help reopening an account you closed. Just so you know, you can't open a new account after closing your previous one.
