To apply for Chime Card, you must also open a Chime Checking Account.
How do I apply for The Chime Card?
You can enroll in the Chime Card in your Chime app:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Try Chime Card.
- Follow the steps to enroll.
Once you’re approved, you’ll typically receive your card in the mail within 7 to 10 business days.
How do I use my Chime Card?
The first step is to add money, which goes to your Checking Account and is automatically transferred to your Chime Card Secured Deposit Account, except Chime Card cash deposits1at retailers which go to the Chime Card account first then transfer to the SDA automatically. You can fund your account through ACH, Cash Deposits1, or Direct Deposit.
You can make credit purchases with your Chime Card. The amount you have in your Secured Deposit Account equals the amount you can spend on your Chime card. That is, your Chime Card limit is determined by your Secured Deposit Account balance.
