Why am I being asked to verify my debit card PIN?

You might have received an email or push notification from Chime asking you to verify your debit card PIN. To help protect your account and reduce the chance of transaction issues, we’re asking some members to verify their four-digit debit card PIN to keep your account up to date.

Your PIN is used for:

  • ATM transactions
  • Point-of-sale purchases (like groceries, gas, or shopping in stores)
  • Cashback withdrawals over the counter

If your PIN isn't verified, your transactions might not go through. So make sure to take a moment to check it. You can verify it directly in the Chime app. It’s quick, secure, and only takes a few taps. Tap the link below to get started:

For your security, you should only verify your PIN in the Chime app or by phone.
