How do I get a loan?

Instant Loans* are available to eligible members, and we're working to expand access in the future. If you're eligible, Chime will notify you with a push notification and message in the app. Eligibility criteria includes:

    • Being 18 or older.
    • Living in an eligible state.
    • Having a Chime Checking Account in good standing.
    • You received a Qualifying Direct Deposit of $200 or more last month.
    • Receiving at least $500 in Qualifying Direct Deposits each month for the past six consecutive months.
    • No outstanding Instant Loans.
    • At least 30 days since repaying your last loan.

Meeting these requirements doesn’t guarantee a loan offer, and Chime Member Service agents can’t change loan decisions.
