Why am I getting a card details error with Apple Pay?

If you see an error about your card details while using Apple Pay® to add money, it usually means there’s an issue with the information entered. Double-check the following:

  • Your card number, expiration date, and CVV are correct.
  • Your billing address matches what’s on file with your bank.
  • The name on the card matches the name on your Chime account.

If the error continues, try adding a different external debit card to Apple Pay or link an external account to transfer money using ACH.
