You can instantly transfer money from your Chime Checking Account to your external non-Chime debit cards by linking it in the app. Note that upon transfer, you will incur a fee of 1.75% of the total transferred amount.
To transfer instantly to an external account:

- Open the Chime app and navigate to the Move section.
- Select Transfer money and choose the amount you'd like to transfer.
- Select the external debit card in the To dropdown.
- Confirm the transfer details and tap Send.
The transfer process typically takes just a few minutes to complete. There may be times when instant transfers are delayed due to network timing or other factors beyond our control.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I access the instant transfer option in my app?
If you don’t see the debit card transfer option it, could be for one of the following reasons:

- You are not eligible for this feature yet. Instant transfers from Chime account to an external bank are available only to eligible members with a qualifying direct deposit.
- Your linked debit card is not valid for instant transfers. Chime doesn’t support prepaid cards, gift cards, credit cards, international cards, or Chime debit cards for instant transfers. Try linking a different valid debit card to use this feature.
How do I check if the Instant transfer feature is available to me?
You can check if this feature is available by going to the Limits page in your Chime app. You can also review the Move tab to see if you have the option to select a debit card as the "To" account.
