MyPay allows members to share information with Chime by connecting to data sources that may help you qualify to open a MyPay account sooner or increase your MyPay credit limit. Linking to any of the below data sources is completely optional and unlinking after enrollment will not impact your MyPay eligibility. We will only use information from Additional Data Sources for MyPay related purposes. For more information on how Chime uses the information, please check Chime’s U.S. Privacy Notice.
External account through Plaid: Plaid is a 3rd party vendor that allows Chime members to link to an external account at another financial institution. We recommend connecting to this data source if you receive your direct deposit outside of Chime. Linking to Plaid is optional and may allow you to access more from MyPay.

- Please be sure to double check that you are using the correct login credentials for your external account
- You can link to Plaid directly from within the MyPay hub and unlink your connection there as well.
- If you’ve already connected an external account to Chime via Plaid, you’ll need to do it again for MyPay.
Payroll provider via Pinwheel: Pinwheel is a third-party vendor used to link your payroll information with Chime for MyPay, which may allow you to access more from MyPay. We recommend connecting to Pinwheel if you are able to login into your employer's payroll service. Linking to Pinwheel is optional and may allow you to access more from MyPay.

- We will not inform your employer that you have connected to Pinwheel and this will not impact your direct deposit settings.
- You can link to Pinwheel directly from within the MyPay hub. Contact Member services 844-244-6363 for assistance unlinking Pinwheel to your MyPay account.
- You may be asked to regularly refresh your connection with Pinwheel to ensure the connection is still active.
Work Email: Sharing your work email may help Chime confirm your employer and may help you access more from MyPay. We recommend connecting to this data source if you work remotely or work from multiple locations.

- We will ask for your work email address and work address for initial eligibility to enroll in MyPay.
- If you are not interested in linking to an external account or via Plaid or to Pinwheel, you can optionally link your work email address.
Work Location: Sharing your work location through your mobile device may help Chime confirm your employer and may help you access more from MyPay. We recommend connecting to this data source if you commute to the same location each work day

- We may request access to your mobile device’s location, such as your mobile phone tracking capabilities and work address for initial eligibility to enroll in MyPay.
- Please be sure to use your work address as non-work addresses will result in an error.
- If you are not interested in linking to an external account or via Plaid or to Pinwheel, you can optionally share your work location.
