What are Chime Savings Goals?

Chime Savings Goals allow you to set and track specific goals within your savings account. When set up, you can easily monitor your progress toward specific financial targets. As you transfer money to your savings goals, you'll see a progress bar fill up, helping you stay motivated until you reach your goal.

Note: This feature is currently only available for select Chime members. We're working on making it available for more members in the future.

Key Features of Savings Goals

• Create multiple savings goals: Set up different savings goals directly from the savings account screen.
• Customize the details:  When you create a goal, you'll see preset fields, which you can customize as needed.
  • • • You can personalize your goal by adding:
        • • A name to identify the goal
          • An emoji to represent it
          • A target amount to save (optional)
• My Savings Goal: The My Savings goal is automatically created to hold any funds not allocated to a specific goal, keeping extra money separate from goal-specific balances.
• Manage your goals: Tap View All to see a list of your current savings goals.
• Transfer Funds: Move funds from the Savings screen, within a specific goal, or through the Move tab in the app.
• Track your progress: As you deposit money into a goal, a progress bar will show how close you are to achieving your savings target.
• Celebrate your achievement: When you reach your goal, the app will display a celebratory message marking the achievement of your goal.
  • Note: The goal will remain visible in the app even after it’s completed.

Before you begin, you must have an active savings account with a positive balance in your savings account and access to the Chime app.

How to create a savings goal

1. Tap Savings Account on the app's home screen.
2. Tap Set your goal to create your first goal or the plus sign to add another goal.
3. Select from the What are you saving for? list of pre-set options.
4. Enter the goal details.

How to update a savings goal

1. Tap Savings Account on the app's home screen.
2. Tap the name of the savings goal you wish to update.
3. Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner.
4. Enter the new goal details:
5. Tap Save to apply your updates.

How to delete a savings goal

1. Tap Savings Account on the app's home screen.
2. Tap the name of the savings goal you wish to delete.
3. Tap either:
   1. • The pencil icon in the top right corner.
      • The Delete button at the bottom
4. Tap Delete Goal.
5. Confirm goal deletion to remove the savings goal from your account.

Note: Deleting a savings goal does not remove the money from your savings account.
