Where can I withdraw cash?

Cash withdrawals are available at ATMs. You can also request a cash withdrawal by going into a bank or credit union and present your Chime Visa® Debit Card or Chime Secured Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card over the counter by going into a bank or credit union. This is referred to as an over-the-counter (OTC) withdrawal.

There is a $2.50 (per transaction) fee every time you make a cash withdrawal from an out-of-network ATM and over-the-counter. Additionally, the out-of-network ATM provider may charge you an additional fee at their discretion.

To find an ATM near you, tap Cash Map under the Move tab in your Chime app, or visit www.chime.com/atms.

Do you offer ATM withdrawals without fees?

Yes! We have over 50,000 fee-free ATMs nationwide.

*Out-of-network ATM withdrawal and over the counter advance fees may apply except at MoneyPass ATMs in a 7-Eleven, or any Allpoint or Visa Plus Alliance ATM.

What are my limits for cash withdrawals?

Any fees incurred including ATM and over-the-counter withdrawals, funds withdrawn at a POS, and purchases are all subject to the $2,500 maximum amount you can spend each day.

ATM owner-operators, merchants, and participating banks may impose their own lower limits and fees on cash withdrawals.

Can I deposit cash into my account?

Yes! You can deposit cash into your Chime Checking Account without fees at more than 8,500 Walgreens and Duane Reade locations. Here’s how it works:

    • Ask the cashier to make a deposit to your Chime account at the register (they might refer to this as a "cash reload").
    • You can make up to three deposits every 24 hours.
    • You can deposit a maximum of $1,000 every 24 hours and up to $10,000 every month.

Third-party money transfer services that are used to add funds to your Chime Checking Account may impose their own fees or limits such as:

What happens if I was accidentally charged an ATM fee?

If you were accidentally charged an ATM fee at an in-network ATM, let us know by sending us a message from the Chime mobile app. We'll look into the issue and credit your account for any mistake.

How much cash can I get back at the register?

The maximum cash back amount allowed by the merchant varies by merchant. Generally, grocery stores allow for up to $100 cash back whereas drugstores like Walgreen’s and CVS allow for $40 cash back.

Is there a minimum purchase amount to get cash back?

Most merchants have a minimum purchase amount, and you should check with the merchant to verify.

Is there a fee to get cash back at the register?

Chime tries to include only those locations that have no fee for cash back with purchase. However, we recommend that you verify with the merchant or check the card reader screen at the register before finalizing your purchase to verify if there is a fee.

Can I withdraw from my Savings Account at an ATM?

You can't withdraw money directly from your Savings Account. You'll have to first transfer it to your Checking Account by tapping Move in your app.

When you deposit cash to your Chime Checking Account, it is transferred by a third party to your account. Your funds will be FDIC insured once the bank holding your account receives the funds from the third party.
