How do I get paid early?

With Get Paid Early1, Chime members can get qualifying direct deposits up to two days before their usual payday. For more information about how to set up a qualifying direct deposit, read How do I set up direct deposit?

Important

A “Qualifying Direct Deposit” is a deposit by Automated Clearing House (ACH) that comes from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer OR a deposit by Original Credit Transaction (OCT) from your gig economy payer. Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions are not Qualifying Direct Deposits.

Can I receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) up to two days early?

Yes. As a reminder, we never hold deposits. Once we get the deposit from the payer, we deposit your money into your Checking Account immediately. We'll let you know as soon as your money is available with an email and/or a push notification to your phone.

If you don’t see your deposit, it means that the payment is either in transit or your benefits provider hasn't sent it yet. Contact your provider for more information.

1 Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.
