The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) encourages people to set up direct deposit for their tax refunds. The IRS issues nine out of 10 refunds in less than 21 days. They'll notify you of your estimated return date.
We can’t guarantee that you’ll receive your tax refund direct deposit earlier than the date the IRS provides. However, we'll notify you by email and push notification (if enabled on your mobile device) as soon as we receive your refund.
We deposit your refund into your Checking Account as soon as we receive it. If you don’t see your refund yet, Chime Member Services can't provide you any further information about when it'll arrive. It's best to contact the IRS for more information. If you've received your tax refund in the form of a paper US Treasury check, it may take up to 5 business days to receive your funds after you deposit it in the Chime app.
