Can I use Android Pay and Samsung Pay outside of the United States?

As long as you're making a purchase at a participating retailer, Android Pay and Samsung Pay will work outside of the U.S. Based on your wireless plan and your mobile carrier's offering, additional message data charges and foreign transaction fees may apply.


Can Android Pay and Samsung Pay be used for recurring charges, subscriptions or bills?

This service is not currently available.


Is there a fee associated with using my Chime Visa Debit Card with Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

There is no cost for using Android Pay or Samsung Pay from Chime but an active data plan is required. Based on your wireless plan and your mobile carrier's offering, additional message and data charges may apply. The Chime Visa Debit Card terms and conditions, and the Deposit Account Agreement apply for purchases. Chime does not charge any fees to add your Chime Visa Debit Card to Android Pay or Samsung Pay.


How do I make returns for purchases I’ve made using Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

You can make a return the same way that you would with any other card transaction by contacting the merchant directly. We recommend that you bring the device that you used to make the purchase when returning items purchased with Android Pay or Samsung Pay.


What should I do about Android Pay and Samsung Pay if my Chime Visa Debit Card is lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen, you can temporarily block your card:

  1. Use the Chime mobile app or log in to your account at www.chime.com.
  2. Go to Settings and turn off Chime Card Transactions to block your card temporarily. 

This feature immediately prevents new purchases and ATM transactions on your Chime Visa Debit Card account.

Am I liable for unauthorized charges made with Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

Purchases made with your Chime Visa Debit Card have Visa Zero Liability Policy for any unauthorized card transactions. This means that you do not pay for any unauthorized transactions as long as they are reported promptly. Certain limitations apply. See your Deposit Account Agreement for complete details.

Visa's Zero Liability Policy covers U.S.-issued cards and does not apply to certain commercial card transactions, or any transactions not processed by Visa. You must notify your financial institution immediately of any unauthorized use. For specific restrictions, limitations, and other details, consult your issuer.

Can I lock Android Pay and Samsung Pay?

Android Pay and Samsung Pay are locked when the device is locked. A device passcode or Touch ID is required per transaction to use Android Pay or Samsung Pay.
