Factors that can lower your MyPay® credit limit

Your credit limit might decrease due to:

  • Irregular Deposits: Missing or inconsistent qualifying deposits.

  • Reduced Information Sharing: Stopping the sharing of work information or unlinking a payroll provider.

  • Repayment Issues: Late repayment of MyPay™ advances.

  • Lower Deposits: If the total amount of Qualifying Direct Deposits going into your Chime Checking Account decreases – for example, if you start splitting your paycheck across multiple accounts (not just Chime) – your MyPay credit limit may go down. Moving more (or all) of your paycheck to your Chime Checking account can help increase your limits and maintain eligibility.

  • Account Activity: If you are using other Chime products like Instant Loans or SpotMe, that use may lower your limit or take away your access to this product. This helps make sure you don’t borrow more than you can manage or lose too much of your qualifying direct deposit to repayment.
