What is MyPay at Work™, and how do I get started?

This article is about MyPay at Work, a benefit available only to Chime members who work at an employer that entered into a partnership agreement with Chime. For the standard MyPay experience, visit MyPay in the Help Center. ‌ 

MyPay at Work is a Chime product that gives you advanced access to your earnings. Chime receives verified hours and wages data from your employer daily, allowing you to access up to $2,0001 of your earned income in advance.


How do I get started with MyPay at Work?

To use MyPay at Work, you must send your direct deposit to your Chime account. Once your deposit is set up, you can request an advance in the Chime app, and the funds will be available immediately in your Chime Checking Account. All advances are free2.

There are no late fees if you’re unable to repay an advance on time. However, not repaying your balance may impact your ability to access MyPay in the future.


How do MyPay at Work advances work, and is there a limit?

If you're enrolled, you can request instant advances that are available immediately in your Chime Checking Account. All advances are free2.

There’s no per-day limit on how many advances you can request — you can take as many as you need, up to your Available Now3 balance (capped at $2,0001 per pay period).


1To be eligible for MyPay at Work, you must work for a Participating Employer, receive a direct deposit into your Chime Checking Account from that Participating Employer, and live in an eligible state, as set forth in the MyPay at Work Agreement. Other restrictions may apply. Your MyPay at Work Available Now amount will be displayed in the Chime app, may change at any time, and is 50%–100% of your estimated income, up to a maximum advance amount of $2,000. Other risk-based criteria may also impact your Available Now amount.
