To move money from your Automated Investing account back to your Chime Checking or Chime Card account:
Tap Investing.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Tap Withdraw.
Select the destination account for your funds:
Chime Checking Account or Chime Card Account.
Select withdrawal type:
Full Withdrawal → withdraw all funds from your Investing account.
Fixed Amount Withdrawal → withdraw a specific amount you choose.
Note: If market conditions change, a transfer may be canceled if your Investing account has less than the amount requested for withdrawal.
Confirm the transfer.
Note: Withdrawing money means selling existing investments, which may have tax implications. If you sell an investment for more than you paid, that’s a capital gain. If you sell it for less, that’s a capital loss. Capital gains may be taxable, and capital losses may be used to offset capital gains and may lower your taxes in certain situations. How this applies depends on your personal tax situation. Please consult your tax advisor with questions on your specific situation.
Withdrawals typically take 1-2 business days.
Withdrawals submitted before 3 PM ET during market hours usually begin processing the same day and are typically completed by the next business day.
Withdrawals submitted after 3 PM ET or on weekends or market holidays, begin processing the next business day and are generally completed within one to two business days.
You can track your withdrawal status at any time in the app under Investing > Recent Activity.
