Tap Investing.
Tap Add money.
Select the funding source (Chime Checking Account or Chime Card account only).
Enter the deposit amount.
Note: You can start with as little as $1 from your Chime Checking Account or Chime Card account.
Confirm the transfer.
Your deposit appears in your investing balance right away.
Note: Deposits are instant and can’t be canceled once submitted. If you make one by mistake, wait for the funds to settle, then withdraw them back to your Chime Checking Account or Chime Card account. Withdrawing money means selling existing investments, which may have tax implications. If you sell an investment for more than you paid, that’s a capital gain. If you sell it for less, that’s a capital loss. Capital gains may be taxable, and capital losses may be used to offset capital gains and may lower your taxes in certain situations. How this applies depends on your personal tax situation. Please consult your tax advisor with questions on your specific situation.
Although deposits are instant, if you make a deposit after 3 PM ET or on weekends or market holidays, it will generally be invested on the next business day the market is open.
You can track your deposit status anytime in the app under Investing > Recent Activity.
