Manage your Credit Builder card

Legacy product: Credit Builder is no longer available to new members. If you already have a Credit Builder account, you can keep using it.

Credit Builder is a secured Visa® credit card — your spending limit equals whatever you have in your Secured Deposit Account (SDA). To start spending, you just need to move money into Credit Builder, which is held in your SDA. There's no interest and no annual fee.

You can use your virtual card right away in the Chime app. You'll see a separate Credit Builder balance alongside your Checking Account balance. The Credit Builder balance reflects exactly what's in your SDA.

To add money and start using your card, see Add money to and use your Credit Builder card.

To set up automatic payments and protect your credit score, see Pay your Credit Builder statement.

Not a Credit Builder member yet? Credit Builder enrollment is fully closed. If you're looking for a credit-building card, see Get started with your Chime cards.

When your card expires

If your Credit Builder card is approaching its expiration date, Chime will issue you a new Credit Builder card so you can keep your account active.

Out-of-network ATM withdrawal and over-the-counter (OTC) advance fees may apply. The secured Chime Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.
