Chime Wireless is currently available for iPhones only. Android support is coming at a later date.
To use Chime Wireless, your phone must be either fully unlocked or locked to AT&T. Phones locked to another carrier are not eligible.
Follow the steps below to check if your device works with Chime Wireless.
Step 1: Check if your phone is unlocked
On iPhone:
Go to Settings > General > About.
Scroll down to Carrier Lock.
If it says No SIM restrictions, your phone is unlocked. Continue to Step 2.
If it says SIM Locked, your phone is locked. Contact your current carrier to ask about unlocking your device.
Step 2: Check for eSIM support
Chime Wireless uses an eSIM, so your phone needs to support it.
On iPhone:
Go to Settings > General > About.
Look for EID or Available SIM.
If either appears, your phone supports eSIM. Continue to Step 3.
You can also open your phone's dialer and type *#06#. If EID appears on the screen, your device supports eSIM.
Step 3: Verify AT&T network compatibility
Use AT&T's IMEI checker to confirm your device is compatible with the AT&T network that powers Chime Wireless.
Where to find your IMEI:
| Method | How to find it |
|---|---|
| Settings | Go to Settings > General > About and scroll down to IMEI. |
| Dialer | Open the Phone app and dial *#06#. |
| Physical device | On some iPhones, it's printed on the SIM tray or the back of the device. |
