Why does Chime report my Chime Card balance to the credit bureau?

Chime reports the payment activity and current balance of your secured Chime Visa® Credit Card at the beginning   of each month. We also report any amount past due, payment status, and account age. This helps build your   credit history*. Having a balance is normal, and if you pay off your last statement in full, your account will be reported as current.

Changes to your credit score aren't guaranteed and can sometimes take weeks to appear.

*On-time payment history can have a positive impact on your credit score. Late payment may negatively impact your credit score. Chime will report your activities to Transunion®, Experian®, and Equifax®. Impact on your credit may vary, as Credit scores are independently   determined by credit bureaus based on a number of factors including the financial decisions you make with other financial services organizations.
