What information is shared?
Chime does not sell sensitive personal information like:
Your name
Address
Account numbers
Social Security number
Instead, the data that may be shared includes:
Advertising IDs
Cookie IDs
Hashed email addresses
This information is used for advertising and analytics purposes and does not directly identify you by name.
How to opt out of sharing
You can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information at any time.
In the Chime app or Chime.com
Go to Profile.
Tap Privacy.
Turn on Do not sell or share my personal information.
What happens when you opt out
Your preference is saved to your profile when you’re logged in
If you opt out while not logged in, it only applies to that browser session
Certain advertising and analytics trackers will be disabled
