Chime doesn’t use usernames, but your $ChimeSign acts like one when you send and receive money using Pay Anyone. It's a unique handle that other Chime members can use to find you in the Chime app.
To change your $ChimeSign in the Chime app:
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Personal info.
- Tap the pencil icon next to your $ChimeSign, enter your preferred ChimeSign and tap Save.
You can change your $ChimeSign up to three times total.
If you want to hide your $ChimeSign from other members, you can do so in the Privacy settings of the Chime app.
